What is the Bio-Photonic Scanner
The S3 scanner is cutting edge technology that uses light to actively measure the carotenoid levels in your skin. This non-invasive scan can take place just about anywhere and under one minute of your time.
How it works
The scanner works by using a 478 nanometer(nm) light that penetrates the skin to illuminate the carotenoids. This specific patent of 478 nm (associated blue light) light excites carotenoid to 518nm. This 518nm is associated with green light. The only molecule in nature that can shift a 478 to a 518 nanometer photon is the carotenoid itself. This light reflection and feedback creates the Skin Carotenoid Score or SCS. Because the light is so unique to carotenoids there is no interference from other molecules in the skin and same general area.
WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN?
To put it plainly the measure of these carotenoid is the measurement of the bodies antioxidant health status. This bio marker allows us to measure the bodies overall performance of the immune system workings. The higher the score the more antioxidants that surround the cells in our body to help create longevity. We use this technology to help create the "force field" of helpful antioxidants around the individual cells. Why would you want a force field around your cells? The force field prevents free radicals from attacking the cell and damaging it. Thus preventing harm to the cell or sometimes complete distruction of the cell. If you do not have enough antioxidants to protect the cells your longevity could be compromised by chronic inflammation, heart or vascular disease, auto-immune disorders, cancer, and some unwanted genes could be switched on, also known as "epi-genetics".
